Dr. George Vardakis: Academic and Professional Profile
Dr. George Vardakis graduated with honors in 1993 from the Dental Medicine School of Timisoara, Romania. Following his graduation, he served as a surgeon-dentist during his military service, a role that provided him with valuable clinical experience. In 1996, after completing his military duties, Dr. Vardakis opened his private dental clinic in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, where he continues to practice.
In 1998, Dr. Vardakis began his doctoral research in the field of Periodontology, focusing specifically on “Methods and Materials in Controlled Tissue Regeneration.” This research culminated in his dissertation defense in 2002, during which he was awarded the title of Ph.D.
Throughout his academic and clinical career, Dr. Vardakis has demonstrated a keen interest in advancing his knowledge of cutting-edge dental technologies. In 2002, he was introduced to the possibilities of dental LASER technology. Overwhelmed by its potential, Dr. Vardakis pursued further education in LASER dentistry, attending a series of scientific seminars and conferences both in Greece and internationally.
His expertise in dental LASERs grew, and by 2007, he made a significant investment in state-of-the-art LASER equipment for his clinic. This technological advancement has been central to his work, especially in periodontal treatments.
Dr. Vardakis’ expertise in dental LASERs has not been confined to his own practice. He has actively shared his knowledge through presentations at numerous international conferences, as well as contributing to scientific journals focused on periodontology and laser dentistry. His research and clinical innovations have made a notable impact on the field.
In addition to his work in periodontology and dental lasers, Dr. Vardakis has been deeply involved in the field of dental implants. He began his training in dental implantology in 2005, and by 2007, he had begun performing surgical implantations. Since then, he has treated hundreds of patients, consistently achieving positive results.
Dr. Vardakis’s academic journey, combined with his continuous professional development, has made him a prominent figure in modern dental practices. His work exemplifies a dedication to both the scientific and technological aspects of dentistry, with a particular emphasis on periodontics, dental lasers, and implants.
